Work Your Way:
At Spreetail, we believe in empowering our employees to work in the way that suits them best through our Work Your Way approach. Each team member has the flexibility to choose where they work most effectively each week—whether that's from home, a coffee shop, or the office. While flexibility is key, we also value the power of in-person connection. That’s why we bring our corporate team together in Lincoln each quarter for a week of intentional collaboration, team building, community engagement, and our All-Hands meeting. It’s the best of both worlds: the freedom to work your way, with meaningful opportunities to connect and grow together. Please scroll to the bottom of the job posting to confirm that your state qualifies for the Work Your Way program.

This position is excluded from the ‘Work Your Way’ program and requires Nebraska residency.

Spreetail is hiring an Executive Assistant to the CFO to bring structure, clarity, and momentum to a fast-moving Finance organization. You’ll be the force that keeps the “office of the CFO” running seamlessly—aligning the CFO’s time with top business priorities, managing calendars and key deliverables, and ensuring meetings drive action. As a trusted gatekeeper and thought partner, you’ll anticipate needs, streamline communication, and keep cross-functional teams connected. With exceptional judgment, precision, and proactive energy, you’ll help the CFO and leadership team operate at peak impact.

How you will achieve success:

  • Proactively manage the CFO’s calendar using business priorities to guide decisions, protect focus time, and ensure alignment with key business cycles (close, forecast, board, and leadership meetings).
  • Run the “office of the CFO” by coordinating meetings, inputs, and deliverables across the Finance organization; track and drive follow-ups from WBR, HTL, and leadership meetings to completion.
  • Serve as the first line of triage for all inbound communication (email, Slack/Teams, meeting requests); draft and edit executive communications in the CFO’s voice while managing confidential materials with discretion.
  • Own logistics for board prep, business reviews, investor meetings, and offsites; build lightweight project trackers for CFO initiatives and partner cross-functionally to ensure smooth execution.
  • Plan and optimize end-to-end travel for the CFO and accompanying leaders, coordinate in-person meetings to maximize time on-site, and manage expense submissions in compliance with company policy.

What experiences will help you in this role:

  • 3–5+ years supporting VP/C-level leaders in fast-paced, high-growth environments (tech, ecommerce, finance, or similar), with proven ability to manage competing executive priorities.
  • Exceptionally organized with a strong systems mindset; proficient in Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneDrive to streamline workflows and maintain clarity amid complexity.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to draft in an executive’s voice; communicates crisply, clearly, and with audience awareness.
  • Operates with high judgment and urgency, anticipating collisions and gaps before they occur; knows when to escalate and when to solve independently.
  • Trusted with sensitive financial and personnel information; builds trust across teams and contributes to a collaborative, high-performing environment.
