Overview

Performs highly diverse secretarial, administrative tasks and in some instances, requires operational knowledge.  This position requires a significant amount of judgment and knowledge of all bank procedures.  Requires a high level of tact, communication skills and an extreme level of confidentiality due to the frequency and level of internal and external contacts.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage the office area of the CEO, serving as administrator, secretary and receptionist. Exercising tact, judgment, initiative and acquired knowledge of the bank’s functional organization. Also, screen visitors to determine those who can be handled by subordinate officers and staff.
  • Answer the telephone and accept or furnish information. Refer callers to other staff members as determined to be appropriate, take messages and make tentative appointments as necessary.
  • Maintain President’s calendar and remind president of scheduled appointments and meetings.        Ensure that meeting participants are informed of dates and times and have all necessary information, documents, etc.
  • Perform a wide variety of keyboarding tasks that require a high level of proficiency and knowledge of generally accepted format principles
  • Compose and reply to standard letters of inquiries in the absence of the President or other bank officers
  • Contact individuals in the bank or at other companies to give or obtain information, often of a confidential nature
  • May serve as the purchasing contact for office supplies, etc.
Requirements For Success
  • High school diploma; two-year degree preferred
  • Secretarial/administrative experience
  • Minimum one-year experience in an office environment
  • Previous banking experience preferred
  • Excellent keyboarding and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Proper security clearance to handle sensitive documents or other communications
  • Participation in relevant training for the position 
  • Good knowledge of bank operations 
  • Participate in all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars/conferences, etc.
