Executive Administrator – Join the Leadership Team That Shapes Our Mission

Be the Anchor Behind the Impact

Every strong organization relies on a strategic, steady, and compassionate force behind the scenes—a key team member who connects people, strengthens systems, and ensures mission‑driven work is done with excellence every single day. The Executive Administrator is that teammate here at Spectrum Juvenile Justice Services.

If you are someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, loves solving problems before they even arise, and wants to use your talents to support youth‑serving programs that make a real difference, this role invites you to step forward.

This is more than administrative support; this is leadership coordination, team partnership, and mission stewardship.

About the Role

The Executive Administrator is a pivotal member of the leadership team, overseeing day‑to‑day operations and ensuring seamless coordination across departments. You will support the Executive Director, departmental leaders, and staff in ways that directly influence the quality of services provided to the youth in our care.

The Executive Administrator strengthens the pulse of the company:

  • Coordinating admissions, onboarding, training, policies, and administrative oversight
  • Ensuring continuous quality improvement
  • Supporting service delivery for youth and proper documentation systems
  • Supervising and developing the Administrative Secretary
  • Partnering with supervisors, management, and clinical/support teams to maintain excellence
  • Leading or assisting with investigations, corrective action plans, and compliance
  • Helping drive strategic goals, program reporting, and board‑level updates

Your leadership ensures that our programs operate with integrity, clarity, and compassion—every day, for every youth we serve.

Why This Role Matters

Serving youth requires an entire organization working in harmony—policies aligned, communication flowing, operations coordinated, and staff supported.

You are the person who helps make that happen.

As Executive Administrator, you will:

  • Strengthen internal systems for the benefit of youth, families, and staff
  • Help maintain the highest standards in residential care
  • Ensure teams are equipped, informed, and connected
  • Provide leadership that upholds the mission and values of SJJS
  • Play a central role in building a culture of excellence and accountability

You will not simply support the mission—you will help drive it forward.

Qualifications

You will excel in this leadership role if you bring:

  • A High School Diploma and five years in a child‑caring institution, or
  • Two years of college and at least one year of child‑care experience (preferred)
  • A valid driver’s license and clear background clearances
  • A physical exam, a negative TB test, and reliable transportation

Our ideal candidates possess:

  • Advanced technical and administrative management skills
  • Foundational knowledge of employment practices, residential systems, and organizational procedures
  • Strong supervisory abilities
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills
  • Capacity to work independently, manage pressure, and generate high‑quality reports
  • Analytical thinking and resource management abilities

You are the person who keeps operations aligned, efficient, and mission‑strong.

Your Impact on the Leadership Team

You will work closely with the Executive Director and leaders across departments—clinical, education, HRD, security, and support services—to champion quality, innovation, and consistency.

Your work will directly support:

  • Organizational planning and strategic implementation
  • Oversight of program data and evaluation
  • Operational policy development and training
  • Communication across teams
  • Documentation that drives accountability and success

This role is essential to ensuring that the youth in our programs receive the highest level of care and support.

Your Next Step: Lead With Purpose
