Responsibilities
  • Lead daily Environmental Services operations, ensuring all casino, restroom, public, and employee areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Manages and oversees the operations of the department and staff on a daily basis.
  • Fosters teamwork and acts as a role model using a consistent, approachable demeanor and clearly articulating expectations.
  • Has responsibility and accountability for employee relations and goals/actions of the department.
  • Conducts interviews and selects the best candidates for open positions.
  • Responsible for setting work schedules, including training of new hires on policy and procedures.
  • Ensure guest inquiries and concerns are handled professionally and resolved to achieve high guest satisfaction.
  • Responsible for setting and maintaining the budget for the department.
  • Monitor labor, operational expenses, inventory, and purchasing to meet budget and financial goals.
  • Review reports and performance metrics to improve efficiency, control costs, and support occupancy and revenue objectives.
  • Monitors equipment, utilities, consumption and performance of employees.
  • Maintain adequate staffing levels and adjust schedules as business needs change.
  • Oversee departmental equipment, supplies, keys, and amenities, ensuring proper inventory control and accountability.
  • Enforce company policies, OSHA regulations, and safety standards while maintaining emergency procedures and equipment.
  • Identify, report, and follow up on maintenance, safety, and operational issues.
  • Develop and implement energy conservation and efficiency initiatives that bring awareness and ensure compliance with all safety standards.
  • Prepare operational reports, business correspondence, and departmental documentation.
  • Lead department meetings, participate in training programs, committees, and special projects, and assist with company initiatives.
  • Maintain a professional, positive, and guest-focused presence while serving as a role model for the team. 
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of cleaning, housekeeping, or EVS experience.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience hiring, training, coaching, and developing employees.
  • Ability to manage budgets, labor costs, inventory, and purchasing processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Proficient in English verbal and written in a professional manner.  
  • Prior professional cleaning experience preferred.  

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing and walking for the duration of the shift, as well as bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and ascending/descending stairs.  
  • Work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks under time constraints.  
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs and handle sensitive staff and guest situations in a timely manner.  
  • Must be able to push, pull, and lift furniture (e.g., mattresses, tables, chairs, lamps).  
  • Must tolerate required PPE (gloves, safety glasses/goggles, etc.) and safely operate motorized equipment.  
  • Ability to work in a smoking and pet-friendly environment  
  • Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.  
  • Must be able to create written and financial reports.
  • Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guest and employee conflicts.
  • Ability to perform line-level duties during emergencies or operational needs.
