Morningstar Sustainalytics is seeking a strategic, hands-on Event Manager to design and deliver our EMEA event portfolio, spanning flagship conferences, executive roundtables, trade show exhibitions, topical roadshows, webinars, and client programs. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle, from strategy and pipeline alignment to flawless onsite execution and post-event ROI. This role will be key to the marketing team helping to execute the business strategy and will be ideal for someone looking to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to really understand the strategy, and to be dynamic in their thinking.
You'll collaborate closely with the global marketing team, commercial teams, product, and research to ensure each event advances commercial goals, strengthens our brand, and delivers measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities• Contribute to the annual event strategy and calendar aligned to business priorities, pipeline targets, and brand objectives.• Create event strategies in partnership with Marketing, Sales, Product, and Research.• Work closely with commercialization team to evaluate and select high-result events.• Architect side events around anchor 3rd party events (pre/during/post), tying together content themes, speaker strategy, invites, and client activations.• Local expertise on logistics and creative for core markets; ensuring language, cultural nuance, and buyer-journey stage fit.• Own delivery of the global webinar program: working with Product Marketing to ensure alignment, prep speakers, and manage logistics.• Manage 3rd party, and hosted events: venue sourcing, RFPs, contracting, budgeting, vendor management, production schedules, run-of-show, speaker/guest management, shipping & logistics.• Own onsite leadership: show-calling, stakeholder briefings, staff training, lead capture workflows, brand standards, and attendee experience.• Lead post event analysis and continuous improvement- as well as aligning to the broader lead gen strategy.
Required Experience• 5-7+ years of B2B event management• Proven track record delivering pipeline-positive programs and measurable ROI across multiple EU markets.• Strong vendor procurement, contract negotiation, and budget management experience.• Hands-on with event tools: e.g., Cvent, BrightTALK, Seismic, Zoom, Salesforce, lead capture tools, badge & check-in systems.• Fluency working with data privacy (GDPR/UK GDPR, ePrivacy/PECR), accessibility considerations, and sustainability practices in events.• Excellent English communication• On occasion there may be the need for travel
