Position Summary:

The Events Manager is responsible to lead the planning and execution of high-impact events that drive brand awareness, client engagement, and revenue growth. They will lead our internal and external event programs. This role oversees tradeshows, conferences, client events, leadership meetings, annual sales summits, hiring events, and open houses, delivering high-impact experiences that drive engagement, pipeline growth, and adoption across our portfolio. The manager will strategically plan and execute events end to end—ensuring exceptional attendee experiences, measurable ROI, and disciplined budget management.

Reporting to the Sr Manager, Marketing, this role serves as a strategic partner to marketing and communications leadership to bring ideas to life, from concept through execution.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Event Planning & Program Development

  • Develop and execute an annual events strategy aligned with corporate marketing, business development, and brand positioning goals.
  • Translate business priorities (e.g., pursuits, client engagement, talent recruitment) into targeted event programs.
  • Design event concepts that reflect technical expertise, project portfolio strengths, and corporate reputation.
  • Build integrated event calendars across regions, business lines, and strategic accounts to avoid conflicts and maximize impact.
  • Align event objectives with pipeline development, client relationship management, and stakeholder engagement strategies.

End-to-End Event Management (Planning, Logistics & Execution)

  • Lead full lifecycle management of events, including kickoff, planning, production, execution, and post-event wrap-up.
  • Define event scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success metrics for each program.
  • Manage venue sourcing, site inspections, contract negotiations, and logistics coordination.
  • Oversee all operational elements including catering, staging, AV production, signage, branding, and guest flow.
  • Troubleshoot real-time operational issues during live events with minimal disruption.


Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Partner with business development teams to support client-facing events.
  • Coordinate with HR and talent acquisition teams for recruitment fairs, university outreach, and employer branding events.
  • Work closely with executive leadership teams to plan town halls, leadership meetings, and board-level events.
  • Act as primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external vendors, agencies, and production partners.
  • Facilitate alignment across marketing, communications, legal, and procurement teams for approvals and compliance.
  • Collaborate with design and communications teams on event collateral, presentations, signage, and digital assets.


Vendor, Partner & Supplier Management

  • Source, evaluate, and manage relationships with event vendors including production companies, AV providers, decorators, caterers, and venues.
  • Ensure vendors adhere to safety standards, brand guidelines, and contractual obligations.
  • Manage third-party agencies supporting large-scale conferences, trade shows, or multi-day events.
  • Maintain a preferred vendor list and assess performance for continuous improvement.


Budget Management & Financial Oversight

  • Develop detailed event budgets aligned with corporate financial controls and approval processes.
  • Track all event-related expenditures, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and adherence to budget constraints.
  • Forecast costs for multi-event programs and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Review and approve vendor invoices and reconcile final event costs.
  • Provide post-event financial reporting including ROI analysis and cost-per- attendee metrics.


Marketing, Branding & Communications Integration

  • Ensure consistent application of corporate brand standards across all event materials and experiences.
  • Collaborate with design and communications teams on event collateral, presentations, signage, and digital assets.
  • Support development of invitations, registration platforms, and attendee communications.
  • Coordinate messaging alignment between executive speakers, technical presenters, and marketing narratives.
  • Support social media and PR amplification of major events and milestones.


On-Site Event Leadership & Experience Management

  • Serve as lead on-site event manager for high-profile or complex events.
  • Oversee registration, guest experience, speaker management, and VIP coordination.
  • Ensure health, safety, and security protocols are followed, particularly for construction site events or public-facing activations.
  • Resolve issues in real time while maintaining a professional and seamless attendee experience.


Post-Event Analysis, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct structured post-event debriefs with stakeholders and vendors.
  • Measure success against KPIs such as attendance, engagement, lead generation, media coverage, and client feedback.
  • Produce comprehensive post-event reports with insights and recommendations.
  • Maintain event databases and documentation for institutional knowledge and future planning.
  • Identify trends and opportunities to improve efficiency, engagement, and return on investment.
  • Incorporate lessons learned into future event planning cycles.

Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Skills, and Education):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in event management, preferably in B2B, AEC, or professional services environments.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale corporate or industry events.
  • Proven ability to build strong, productive relationships across all levels of the organization, including presenting to and influencing senior executives.
  • Experienced in executing integrated marketing programs, including lead generation tactics and ROI measurement.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing vendors, budgets, and complex logistics.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.


Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced corporate environment with frequent deadlines.
  • Requires occasional travel and on-site event presence.
  • May involve evening or weekend work depending on event schedules.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.


Additional Requirements:

This position is a full-time remote or hybrid position and most work will be performed in a home office setting. The Events Manager will frequently use a computer, keyboard / mouse, cellular or office telephone, and regular business office equipment. Extended periods working in a seated position. Occasional standing or walking; ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds. May involve evening or weekend work depending on event schedules. Requires travel and on-site event presence (~50%).
