About The Role:

The Events Lead will work within the Corporate Communications, Brand & Events function to plan and deliver high-impact events that strengthen brand credibility, enable executive visibility, and generate measurable commercial outcomes across priority markets. The role will partner closely with:

  • Regional Marketing (ACQ/OPS) as the business SPOC to support localized/smaller in-market activations and ensure consistency of execution standards across regions.
  • Demand Generation (Digital Marketing) to ensure event-led lead capture, nurture handover, and attribution into pipeline.
  • Product Marketing to ensure event messaging, positioning, and sales enablement assets are accurate and aligned to GTM priorities.
  • Marketing Platforms & Efficiency / Marketing Ops & Martech to ensure workflows, asset readiness, budget tracking in puts, and vendor processes are coordinated through the group operating model.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Strategy & Planning (Corporate + Regional Alignment):

  • Identify, evaluate, and propose priority event opportunities (industry, partner, regulator, merchant, ecosystem) aligned to Group and regional objectives.
  • Build and maintain an events calendar with clear event types:
    • Larger sponsored events / webinars / virtual events (owned by Corporate Comms / Brand & Events)
    • Smaller localized events supported via Regional Marketing SPOCs
  • Create event briefs that define objectives, audience, messaging themes, KPIs, required assets, owners, timelines, and dependencies (aligned to the “single end-to-end owner” operating approach).

End-to-End Event Delivery & Production:

  • Lead coordination of event logistics: venues, suppliers, registration, branding/booths, speaker schedules, run-of-show, and on-site execution.
  • Manage external vendors (event planners, venues, collateral suppliers) and ensure delivery against SLAs and brand standards.
  • Coordinate speaker support (exec briefing packs, speaker notes, session formats) in partnership with PR & Comms.

Event-led Demand & Commercial Impact (Lead Capture + Reporting):

  • Partner with Demand Generation (Digital Marketing) to ensure event lead capture is operational (forms/QRs/landing pages), and that leads flow into agreed handover processes.
  • Produce post-event reporting: attendee profiles, leads generated, engagement quality, follow-up actions, and key learnings to improve future ROI.
  • Track event KPIs aligned to the Group KPI set (e.g., leads generated from events).

Content Capture & Amplification (Before/During/After):

  • Ensure events are supported with content needs: pre-event announcements, on-ground coverage plan, and post-event highlights.
  • Coordinate with Content Marketing and the wider PR team to amplify events through social, newsletters, and thought leadership hooks.

Stakeholder & Regional Coordination:

  • Build strong working relationships with Regional Sales leads, Country stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure event objectives and follow-up are aligned.
  • Serve as the central point for event requirements across markets—ensuring Corporate and Regional execution stays consistent with the operating model.

Budget Inputs & Vendor Documentation (in the Group model):

  • Gather and submit event cost estimates, quotes, and budget inputs in line with the group process (supporting overall budget visibility).
  • Maintain event documentation and hand over relevant information to the Marketing Ops & Martech/Platforms & efficiency workflows where applicable
