Events Coordinator

A bit about the role…
As our Events Coordinator, you will own the planning and execution of in-person events and trade shows focused on the SMB market across North America. You will manage all logistics—from pre-event promotion and travel coordination to setup, teardown, and post-event follow-up—ensuring smooth lead hand-offs and timely follow-up with our Sales team. While this role offers the flexibility to work from home, it requires reliable transportation to come into our Ottawa office for managing event shipments and coordination.

WHO YOU ARE: 

  • You have 1–2 years of experience managing in-person events, preferably within the marketing or events field.

  • You possess strong organizational and multitasking skills, ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks even under pressure.

  • You are calm, proactive, and ready to jump in wherever needed with a can-do attitude.

  • You demonstrate excellent collaboration skills and can work effectively with multiple stakeholder groups.

  • Your detail-oriented approach is supported by proven project management skills and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.

  • You are budget-conscious and proficient in CRM systems (experience with HubSpot or Salesforce is a plus) as well as Google Suite and project planning tools.

  • You are comfortable working evenings or weekends when events require it, and you are based in or near Ottawa with access to reliable transportation.

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidates must undergo a criminal records check upon hire;

  • Eligible to work in Canada;

  • Be willing to comply with Solink’s own security policies and standards.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Plan and execute in-person events and trade shows across North America.

  • Manage all event logistics, including shipments, staffing, setup, teardown, and post-event follow-up.

  • Lead pre-event promotion efforts to boost attendance and engagement.

  • Partner with the Sales team to ensure smooth lead hand-offs and timely follow-up.

  • Coordinate travel arrangements and manage booth/material shipments.

  • Track performance metrics, report on ROI, and upload leads into HubSpot to integrate with follow-up workflows.

  • Monitor industry trends and apply insights to continuously improve event outcomes.

  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment and timely execution of all tasks.
