As an Event Manager on the Navan Events team, you will plan, coordinate, and execute a diverse portfolio of client events—delivering world-class service, managing budgets with precision, and leveraging Navan's cutting-edge travel and event technology to scale operations. In this role, you will empower organizations to foster thriving cultures through expertly curated in-person experiences while driving decisions that support Navan’s revenue goals and product innovation.
What You’ll Do- End-to-End Execution: Design, plan, and execute 8–12 client events simultaneously, managing timelines, vendor contracts, and logistics.
- Strategic Advisory: Educate clients on industry best practices, offsite strategies, and cost-effective event design while building strong client relationships to drive account retention and repeat business.
- Budget & Financial Oversight: Manage event budgets to maximize impact and protect gross margins while supporting Navan’s net revenue goals and preferred vendor network.
- Product Collaboration: Utilize Navan’s proprietary platform daily, delivering actionable UX and feature feedback to internal Product and Engineering teams to optimize our event management software.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Source, negotiate, and maintain relationships with top-tier venues and suppliers to secure competitive rates and exceptional service.
- Client Satisfaction: Consistently meet and exceed NPS and CSAT targets through exceptional execution.
- 30-60-90 Day Success Roadmap
- Within 30 Days: Complete onboarding on Navan’s platform and SOPs; shadow senior planners on active accounts; begin managing initial events with Team Lead support; establish cross-functional relationships with Sourcing, Product, and Customer Success.
- Within 60 Days: Independently manage a full pipeline of events end-to-end; consistently meet CSAT targets; provide direct feedback to the Product team to optimize Navan’s event management software.
Within 90 Days: Act as a strategic advisor to key clients; consistently hit net revenue and margin targets; drive process improvements that enable team scalability; achieve high client retention through post-event follow-up.
- 5+ years of end-to-end event management experience, including sourcing, budget management, vendor negotiations, and onsite execution.
- Strong project management skills with a proven track record of handling high-volume event portfolios in fast-paced environments.
- High executive presence with experience presenting directly to C-suite and senior leaders.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a creative, client-first mindset.
- Prior hospitality or corporate travel industry experience preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% for onsite event execution, team syncs, and client meetings.
