The Event Facilities Technician plays a critical role in delivering exceptional event experiences across the Rock Events venue portfolio. This position is responsible for setting up and resetting event spaces according to event specifications while providing on-site support to clients, vendors, and internal teams throughout each event.
Event Facilities Technicians ensure all venue spaces, both indoors and outdoors, are clean, organized, and event-ready by maintaining presentation standards, managing waste, and performing routine cleaning before, during, and after events. Successful candidates are proactive, detail-oriented, and take pride in creating an outstanding guest experience.
About the role
- Set up tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, and other event furnishings according to event resumes and client specifications
- Dismantle, organize, and properly store furniture, equipment, and event supplies following each event
- Clean and prepare indoor and outdoor event spaces before, during, and after events, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing surfaces, and cleaning glass
- Monitor venue cleanliness throughout events, including waste removal, restroom upkeep, and maintaining a polished appearance
- Assist clients, caterers, vendors, and event partners with load-in and load-out activities
- Partner closely with Event Managers and other Rock Events team members to ensure event requirements are executed efficiently
- Conduct routine facility walkthroughs to identify maintenance, safety, or cleanliness concerns and report issues as needed
- Adapt quickly to last-minute event changes and assist with adjustments to room layouts or event needs
- Support other Rock Events departments and venues as business needs require
- Respond appropriately during emergency situations and facility evacuations when necessary
- Follow all company safety policies and operational procedures
About you
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous event, hospitality, facilities, or venue operations experience preferred but not required
- Professional, positive, and customer-focused demeanor with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to respond with a sense of urgency
- Self-motivated and proactive, consistently looking for ways to improve the venue and support the team
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Resourceful with a "we'll figure it out" mindset
- Ability to routinely lift and move up to 75 pounds
- Valid driver's license required
- Basic computer skills strongly preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
