Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a European Employee Relations and Policy Manager with professional experience in complex ER casework, management of employee representative bodies, and the implementation and management of HR policies.

You will be part of the European Office People Team (EOPT), which supports, guides, and collaborates with 19 different People Teams across 35+ countries in Europe.

You will partner with members of different People Teams and employee representatives while reporting to the Director of Talent Management for Europe.

Key responsibilities:
  • Building strong relationships within the different regional People Teams.

  • You will collaborate and work with the European-level employee representative committee, the EO People Team, Suwon Office, European Employee Relations Office (EEO), Shared Service Centre, and regional People Teams while coordinating with your line manager.

  • You may also work with external employment lawyers and consultants as needed, support investigations of regional-level ER matters by conducting interviews, creating reports, and educating People Team colleagues across Europe on ER and HR processes.

  • You will need to effectively communicate with employee representatives and People Team members and take the initiative to form regional-level HR policies based on the specific needs of the subsidiaries. This includes not only proposing solutions to ER cases but also developing wider HR policies.

  • Your responsibilities will include managing day-to-day casework across Europe where the European People Team is involved and reporting cases to EOPT leadership.

  • You will collaborate with EOPT and subsidiary People Teams in proposing and developing new ER processes while ensuring continuous process improvement.

  • You will be working with the local People Teams team to implement the necessary policy changes.

  • Tracking regional ER data and building and managing a regional ER dashboard will also be part of your duties.

  • You will identify regional and global ER trends to propose recommendations and implement improvements.

  • You will ensure that all regional HR policies and ER documents, contracts, and agreements are up-to-date by periodically reviewing them in collaboration with the COEs in accordance with any relevant legal changes or business requirements.

  • Actively leading assigned regional HR projects with an ER focus is essential.

  • Additionally, you will be responsible for ad-hoc audit and compliance tasks related to ER and HR policies.

  • You will manage regional grievance and disciplinary policies and provide support during the process when EOPT is involved.

What we need for the role:
  • A passion for Employee Relations and for understanding various European HR policies and the differences among diverse countries is essential.

  • You should have the confidence to liaise with and provide expert advice on ER and regional-level HR policy matters and employment practices to local People Team members throughout Europe.

  • While you do not need to be a specialist in the labour laws of all target countries, it is crucial to possess expertise in employment law and ER practices of at least one of our target countries in Europe.

  • A solid understanding of the wider HR and COE model, along with the importance of cross-team collaboration, is necessary.

  • You must work efficiently to ensure a positive impact within the organisation.
