We are seeking a hands on, experienced Analyst, Ethics & Compliance to support our USA Ethics and Compliance function, reporting directly to the Manager, Ethics & Legal Operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys risk mitigation, data review and analytics, understanding and implementing ethical decision-making frameworks, cross-functional collaboration, and contributing to various projects in a fast-paced, growing international environment. The role is based in Tampa.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

The Ethics & Compliance Analyst will support the Ethics & Legal Operations Department, and work closely on a broad range of compliance matters and related processes essential to mitigating ethics and regulatory risks associated with the company’s operations.

This role entails significant responsibilities in the implementation of our US ethics and compliance programs, ensuring its alignment with CAE’s Code of Business Ethics, Corporate Policies and Procedures, and applicable laws and regulations. The responsibilities will include: 

  • Support the Manager, Ethics & Legal Operations in the day-to-day operations, development, implementation, and ongoing review of CAE’s ethics and compliance programs
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the laws, regulations, and guidelines applicable to CAE’s operations and effectively communicate key concepts through training and support
  • Coordinate and follow up on corrective and remediation efforts related to CAE’s ethics and compliance programs
  • Support internal investigations, research, documentation, and data reviews related to business compliance and ethics matters
  • Support ethics data and compliance analytic initiatives; develop and maintain data dashboards, excel spreadsheets, ethics files or similar to ensure consistent insights into program effectiveness and key elements of the ethics and compliance programs
  • Coordinate compliance governance activities, including committee meetings, presentation development, and reporting
  • Collaborate with the HR Employee Relations team to support joint investigations and the effective administration of company policies
  • Ensure that exceptions to policies and alleged violations of laws and regulations are properly, consistently, and thoroughly documented
  • Support management of CAE’s risk-based due diligence program for third parties and foreign business partners, in accordance with key corporate policies, including CAE’s Anti-Corruption Policy and Business Partners Policy
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, Ethics & Compliance

Qualifications and Education Requirements  

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Legal Studies, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Human Resources or a related field
  • 3- 5 years of experience in tasks or activities related to ethics and compliance in a corporate context for an international organization
  • Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, or similar tools)
  • Proficient with Power BI and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience or strong interest in designing and implementing compliance programs (particularly with a view to simplifying data, systems, and controls to suit our business)

Preferred Skills  

  • Experience within the defense & aerospace industry, including familiarity with FAR/DFARS contracting and other regulations applicable to US government contractors
  • Strong analytical, organization, and project management skills
  • Experience in internal investigations 
  • Certified Power BI
  • Microsoft Excel Advanced

Security Responsibilities  

Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures.  Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval.  All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.   

Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.  

Work Environment  

his position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment and technology.  Occasional travel or work outside normal business hours may be required.
