As an ESG Controller in APMM Accounting, you will be a key team player. Your role will include ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of our ESG reporting, while also identifying and executing opportunities for improving our ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

Your area of responsibility will be comprehensive and include, among other tasks:

  • Effectively executing the reporting processes at the group level

  • Completing and ensuring accurate and unbiased reporting to key decision-makers

  • Serving as a competent advisor on reporting and consolidation issues for different businesses’ finance and reporting functions

  • Conducting consolidation and reporting of ESG data, including external reporting of sustainability key figures

  • Collaborating and playing a key role in implementing the CSRD reporting requirements and EU taxonomy

  • Preparing and updating reporting instructions according to ESRS/IFRS and sustainability regulations

  • Driving and ensuring the execution of ad hoc initiatives and participating in projects

  • Challenging existing processes to improve, automate, and reduce non-value-adding activities

  • Facilitating the audit process and assurance of ESG reporting

  • Bridging the gap between sustainability and finance

Who We Are Looking For

  • You hold a relevant financial degree, such as a Master’s degree or Graduate Diploma (HD) in Accounting or an equivalent qualification, with a passion for ESG reporting.

  • Additionally, you have at least 3-5 years of experience in financial or non-financial reporting, controlling, and/or auditing of large/medium-sized companies.

  • Strong functional knowledge of consolidation and reporting is a must, along with a control mindset. Knowledge and experience with CSRD and EU Taxonomy are advantages but not requirements. You can identify potential issues associated with unusual or complex transactions and review and approve the appropriate treatment. You are open to collaboration, bring structure, and drive improvements while maintaining controls.

  • You are a strong and confident communicator, enjoy working with various stakeholders across the organization, and use this ability to leverage your functional skills as you build open and trustful relationships with your stakeholders.

  • You should have a solid understanding of data audit and controlling, with a keen interest in advancing your skills in sustainability reporting.

  • You produce high-quality results and can combine attention to detail with a holistic overview. You work independently and as part of a team, acting as a proactive and knowledgeable advisor to various stakeholders at Maersk.

  • You enjoy working towards goals, taking ownership of your assignments, and thriving in a dynamic environment where you need to manage competing priorities.

  • As you will work with colleagues from across the globe, fluency in English is a prerequisite.
