Come join First American, where we recognize our true worth is our people. We are looking to add an Escrow Assistant to our growing team. In this role you will work in a dynamic, fast-paced setting providing support in a variety of ways including customer support and administrative duties.  This position plays a key role in making the dream of home ownership a reality.  
This is an in office position located at 823 Jay St, Manitowoc, WI 54221

What You’ll Do:

• Assist in the escrow process, such as processing opening orders, initial file set up, deposit and distribution of funds, handling reconveyances, preclosing maintenance and post-closing follow up on assigned files, wire approval and submittal as needed
• Perform light closing duties involving meeting with sellers to pre-sign closing documents or conducting cash sale closings
• Communicate regularly with customers during the escrow process flow
• Maintain a log of incoming construction draws.
• Post incoming money to project files.
• Data entry of pending payments for checks and wires to be issued.
• Assist with receipt of lien waivers and distribution of checks and/or wires
• File management (i.e. scanning construction disbursing documentation and other information into shared hard drives).
• Invoice for various services.
• Monitor Trust account for receipt of funds.
• Assist in performing on site construction percentage completion inspections with photos

What You’ll Bring:

• Excellent verbal and written communication with both our internal teams and external customers
• Problem solver with strong organizational skills, is detail oriented, a natural curiosity with an eagerness to learn
• Knowledge of MS Office suite and ability to quickly adapt to new software applications and technologies
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Escrow-related experience or prior banking experience is preferred
