This role will partner with Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, and Accounting teams to improve end-to-end processes from quoting, product configuration, pricing, and order entry through order promising, invoicing, collections, and financial reporting. Experience supporting order entry automation, product configurators, pricing and promotions, EDI, CRM integration, and ERP financials is required.

Key ResponsibilitiesOrder-to-Cash & Customer Service

  • Pricing & Promotions: Configure and maintain customer price lists, pricing rules, price catalogs, matrices, special pricing, and promotional programs in the ERP. Move pricing exceptions out of spreadsheets so system pricing is accurate without manual overrides.
  • Order Promising & Fulfillment Rules: Partner with the Manufacturing, Planning & Logistics analyst to support Available-to-Promise and order promising, warehouse sourcing rules, order splits, freight and handling charges, and order holds.
  • Electronic Ordering: Support EDI order intake and related transactions (e.g., 850, 855, 856, 810), online quoting and ordering, and other order channels that reduce manual re-keying by Customer Service.
  • Returns & Credits: Support return authorization, credit memo, and claims processes, including related approval workflows.
 Sales & Marketing Systems
  • CRM Integration: Support the integration between the ERP and Salesforce. Partner with Sales and IT to define how CRM and ERP work together.
  • Customer Master Data: Maintain and govern customer accounts, ship-to locations, terms, territories, sales representatives, and related master data to keep it accurate and consistent across systems.

  • Sales & Marketing Programs: Support rebate, commission, and promotional program processes, along with related reporting and system setup.
  • Sales & Service Analytics: Develop reporting and dashboards for bookings, backlog, order securement, pricing performance, and threats to on-time and complete customer shipments.
Finance & Accounting
  • Accounts Receivable, Credit & Collections: Support invoicing, cash application, credit management, and collections workflows using standard ERP functionality, including bank file imports to reduce manual entry.
  • Accounts Payable: Support vendor invoice processing, three-way match, payments, and vendor file imports. Partner with Purchasing and Manufacturing on special scenarios such as consignment inventory.
  • General Ledger, Costing & Close: Support general ledger, month-end close, product costing, inventory valuation, and WIP reconciliation in partnership with Accounting.
  • Financial Reporting: Replace manual query extracts and spreadsheet manipulation with reliable SQL-based reporting and BI dashboards.
  • Controls & Security: Support role-based security, segregation of duties, audit requests, and data integrity controls across financial and order-to-cash processes.
ERP Solutions, Data & Technical Delivery
  • Business Process Analysis: Gather requirements, map current and future processes, identify gaps, and translate business needs into ERP configuration, functional specifications, and solution designs.
  • ERP Configuration & Enhancements: Configure, test, document, and support ERP functionality across Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, and Finance.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Develop and enhance reports, queries, dashboards, and KPIs. Use SQL and ERP data to analyze issues, validate results, and support business decisions. Support migration of legacy Query/400 reports to native SQL and BI.
  • Systems Integrations & Automation: Lead the design, implementation, support, and continuous improvement of ERP integrations and automation, including APIs, EDI, file-based interfaces, and workflow automation.
  • Technical Development: Develop or support custom reports, interfaces, scripts, and system enhancements. Programming or scripting experience with RPG, C#, Python, or comparable technologies is highly desirable.
  • Testing & Deployment: Create test scenarios, coordinate unit and user acceptance testing, validate configuration, data, and integrations, and support deployment and post-implementation stabilization.
  • Documentation & Training: Maintain configuration documentation, process flows, SOPs, support materials, and knowledge-transfer documentation. Provide user guidance and training as needed.
