About the role:
The Software Engineer in ERP Product pillar plays a pivotal role in the development and enhancement of our expense management software.This role is central to developing an innovative platform that empowers account admins, tax administrators, and ERP administrators to efficiently manage, review, adjust, and synchronize expense data for accounting purposes. The ERP product pillar is central to our mission, offering a streamlined platform for managing and integrating financial data with customer systems, whether through direct entry, API connections, or other innovative means.
What you’ll do:
Build & Maintain Solutions: Develop scalable, secure, and efficient engineering solutions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with teams across Travel & Expense, including data scientists, analysts, product managers, and engineers, to implement fraud prevention solutions.
Industry Research: Stay updated on fraud prevention trends, technologies, and standards.
Technical Leadership: Mentor and guide engineers on best practices and technical solutions.
Integration Development: Design and maintain APIs and interfaces for seamless expense data integration into accounting and ERP systems.
Data Integrity & Security: Ensure financial data security and accuracy throughout integration.
Customization & Support: Adapt integration processes to meet diverse ERP system requirements.
Stay Industry-Forward: Monitor trends in ERP, accounting software, and integration methodologies to maintain competitive solutions.
What We’re Looking For:
Software Development Expertise: Proficient in Java and Python, with experience in RESTful APIs and web services.
Problem-Solving & Innovation: Skilled at diagnosing complex technical issues, turning ambiguous problems into clear solutions, and thinking outside the box.
Communication & Collaboration: Strong verbal and written skills for effective teamwork and customer interactions; ability to influence without direct authority.
Attention to Detail: Precise in handling financial data and ensuring accurate system integration.
Experience: 4-6 years (or equivalent) in software development, preferably in startups or large-scale distributed systems.
Technical Proficiency: In-depth experience with Java, Spring Boot, and AWS.
Nice to Have: Familiarity with ERP and accounting systems, including financial data structures and transaction management.

The posted pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the compensation for this position and is subject to change based on business need. To determine a successful candidate’s starting pay, we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location, an evaluation of the candidate’s skills and experience, market demands, and internal parity.
For roles with on-target-earnings (OTE), the pay range includes both base salary and target incentive compensation. Target incentive compensation for some roles may include a ramping draw period. Compensation is higher for those who exceed targets. Candidates may receive more information from the recruiter.
