Equity Research Analyst

• Conduct in-depth fundamental research on
equities, sectors, and markets, including analysis of financial statements,
business models, valuation metrics, and macroeconomic indicators.
• Prepare financial models, forecasts, and
investment notes to support fund manager in portfolio construction and
investment decisions.
• Monitor equity markets and sectors to identify
potential investment ideas and flag them to senior team members
• Track company developments, earnings
announcements, corporate actions, and industry trends.
Requirements
• Strong understanding of equity markets and valuation techniques.
• High level of analytical rigour with the ability
to synthesize research into actionable investment insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
to work effectively with fund managers, brokers, and internal teams.
- Familiarity with IRDAI investment guidelines and
regulatory frameworks (added advantage).
• 5+ years of relevant experience in equity
research,investment analysis and portfolio management
• Experience
within insurance , mutual funds , PMS, AIFs (regulated financial institutions) , sell-side research firms preferred
• Pursuing /
completed professional qualifications such as CA / CFA will be an
advantage
Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
- Up to 5 years of relevant experience in equity research, investment analysis, or equity dealing
- Strong understanding of equity markets, valuation techniques, and trading strategies
- Practical experience in equity trade execution, order management systems, and post-trade processes
- Proficiency in Bloomberg, Excel, and trading systems
- Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and attention-to-detail skills
- CFA, MBA, or FRM qualification completed or in progress
- Familiarity with IRDAI investment guidelines and regulatory frameworks
- Experience within the insurance sector or other regulated financial institutions
