Job Summary
The Manufacturing Technician plays a critical role in ResMed’s Production & Assembly function, responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and packing products to meet quality and operational standards. This position ensures smooth day-to-day production operations, supports changing demands, and maintains compliance with ResMed’s Quality, OH&S, and GMP policies as well as regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Assembly Operations
Manufacture, assemble, and pack products according to specifications.
Program, set up, and monitor production equipment and processes.
Perform quality control checks on incoming materials and finished goods.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards at all times.
Maintenance & Calibration
Support tooling, plant, and equipment maintenance activities.
Document and maintain manufacturing equipment calibration systems.
Process Improvement
Assist in developing methods and procedures to optimize manufacturing processes.
Identify opportunities for efficiency and quality improvements.
Collaboration & Support
Interact with internal teams to exchange information and resolve issues.
Act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
Vocational training or equivalent experience in manufacturing or production.
Minimum 2 years of related experience in a fast-paced production environment.
Strong knowledge of production procedures and ability to handle non-routine situations.
Ability to identify key issues and patterns from partial or conflicting data.
Preferred:
Diploma in a relevant field.
Experience with manufacturing equipment programming and calibration.
Familiarity with GMP and OH&S compliance standards.
