The Opportunity:

KBR is currently undertaking Expression of Interest applications for a Solution Architect for various Maritime Programs in our Capability Sustainment and Modernisation operational unit.

You will contribute to the strategic and operational development of KBR solutions that solve customer’s issues and challenges whilst also playing a significant role in driving profitability and growth.

The Solution Architect will apply solution development mastery and industry-wide expertise of solutions, technology, market management, and industry issues to develop optimum solutions for KBR.

Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to:

• Creating detailed solution and service designs based on functional specifications meeting performance and quality standards
• Provide technical guidance and subject matter expertise on the Maritime Domain, ensuring all design and technology facets are integrated
• Contribute to decision making through the recommendation of preferred solution architecture providing pros and cons for the recommendation with evidence as required
• Contribute to the development of project/program specific architecture, roadmaps, blueprints, or processes
• Review system designs to ensure they adhere to applicable strategies and/or solution architecture

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related industry experience with relevant qualification/s
• Strong Maritime background
• Deep understanding of solution architecture, strategy, governance, compliance, systems development, and implementation
• Highly effective communication skills (written and oral)
• Demonstrated leadership and organisational skills
• Project management qualifications/experience desired
• The ability to gain and maintain a NV-1 minimum Australian Government Security Clearance

All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Negative Vetting 1 Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a Baseline Clearance or above should apply.
