In this unique position you will play a proactive role in facilitating the implementation of innovative Nature-based and marine ecosystem solutions in projects, delivering future-proof sustainable infrastructures to people and planet. At the same time, you will be immerged in core DEME activities. When successful in this position, you hold a frontrunning spot within our organization as well as in the professional community.

The following qualifications are highly recommended:
- Combine hydro morphological and environmental background with understanding on ecological issues associated with marine works.
- Pragmatic and efficient team-player to tackle environmental aspects in innovative and operational projects.
- Engage an inspiring awareness and communicate assertively on the importance of dedicated environmental management and recognition of Natural Capital as a crucial element towards more sustainable marine works business both within the internal DEME-organisation and towards external parties (clients, authorities, stakeholders...)
- Able to transfer innovative, upfront nature inspired engineering ideas up to operational applications and/or competitive business opportunities.
- Willing and ability to travel frequently for (short) stay and to adapt agenda.
Your profile

A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience – on content or practice - is recommended.
Your Education/Training
- MSc in Civil (Hydraulic / Environmental) Engineering is considered a plus.
- MSc (Marine) Biology
- MSc BioScience Engineering (Environmental Sciences &Technology - Water Resources - Ecosystems - Sustainability - …)
- or equivalent by experience.

Native or fluent in Italian language (understanding, speaking and writing), with possible experience with working in the Italian market.
