What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate closely with Sales to communicate Datadog's value proposition and business impact, leading customer engagements that showcase Datadog as a driver of strategic outcomes
  • Engage with customers during trials, guiding them through tailored evaluations that emphasize measurable value and address both executive priorities and hands-on technical requirements
  • Demonstrate strong strategic selling skills, mapping Datadog's solutions to customer objectives and quantifiable business results, establishing Datadog as a long-term partner
  • Close complex enterprise opportunities by leveraging your advanced technical expertise and market knowledge, differentiating Datadog from competitors
  • Deliver compelling, tailored technical and product briefings that address high-level enterprise needs and translate technical capabilities into business benefits
  • Actively document customer insights, wins, and losses in CRM to support Datadog's continuous improvement and contribute product feedback for ongoing competitive advantage
  • Stay engaged with internal teams and customer stakeholders on evolving needs and competitive positioning to ensure Datadog remains aligned with enterprise market demands


Who You Are:

  • A strategic technical seller with an innate ability to connect Datadog's capabilities with customer pain points, adept at communicating Datadog's value in both business and technical terms
  • Skilled at understanding and translating customer needs into a clear evaluation plan that demonstrates the ROI of Datadog solutions
  • Strong written and oral communicator, effective at articulating both the technical merits and strategic business value of our solutions to diverse stakeholders
  • Experienced in programming/scripting with one or more of the following: Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.JS, PHP, .NET, etc.
  • Proficient with containerization tools such as Kubernetes, and experienced with cloud providers (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Bringing 3+ years in Sales Engineering, preferably with enterprise experience
  • Able to travel up to 45% of the time to engage with customers and build face-to-face relationships
  • Eager to learn, innovate, and contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative team environment

Datadog offers a competitive salary and equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
