Job Description
Fannie Mae seeks Data Engineer – Reston, VA
- Identify customer needs and intended use of requested data in the development of database requirements and support the planning and engineering of enterprise databases.
- Support the integration of data into readily available formats while maintaining existing structures and govern their use according to business requirements.
- Analyze new data sources and monitor the performance, scalability, and security of data.
- Create an initial analysis and deliver the user interface (UI) to the customer to enable further analysis.
- Discover and analyze patterns in large datasets using Oracle Data Mining or Informatica.
- Use software and computer systems' architectural principles to integrate enterprise applications such as xMatters and AWS services, including Application Integration, Lambda, and other computer services to enable event-driven workflows and scalable code execution.
- Serve as a technical lead for an Agile team and actively participate in all Agile ceremonies including planning, grooming, product demonstration and team retrospectives.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of database technologies, complex coding languages, and computer system skills.
- Mentor less experience team members.

Req’d:
Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems plus 5 years of progressive experience in Cloud technologies and Cloud architecture engineering in the mortgage industry, working on managing serverless architectures using AWS services (including ECS, ECR, S3, Glue, Dynamo DB, Redshift, EMR, Lambda, CloudWatch, RDS, SNS, EC2, CloudFormation, CodeBuild, CodePipeline). Also required is experience using Informatica (including PowerCenter, Developer, DT Studio), Jenkins, UrbanCode Deploy (UCD) and UrbanCode Release (UCR), Undraleu, Python, SQL, Spark, Sparks, PySpark, Oracle 12g, SQL server, OBIEE, Tableau, QlickView, UNIX Shell Scripts, Autosys, TIBCO, MS Visio, Erwin Data Modeler, and Agile methodologies.
