As an Enterprise Architecture Manager Sr within PNC’s Enterprise Architecture organization, the preferred candidate will reside and work in one of our Technology hub locations: Birmingham, AL; Phoenix, AZ; Cleveland, OH; Pittsburgh, PA; or Dallas, TX. Responsibilities require time in the office with the opportunity for remote work at the manager’s discretion.
This position will be accountable for providing the leadership, facilitation, analysis, and design tasks required for the evaluation of new technology and contribute as a source of influence to enable the strategic adoption, standardization, and governance of technology at PNC.
The Enterprise Architecture Manager Sr will partner with business stakeholders as well as the supporting technology teams to define and drive strategic roadmaps for transforming our application portfolio to meet our technology capability needs.

• Oversee the activities related to establishing new processes in support of Path to Production.
• Accountable for implementing a platform to ensure compliance to prescribed Solution Design Patterns.
• Will implement automated controls/prevention that will replace several of the existing manual/detection controls.
• Will contributed to reduced time to market through automation of defined processes.
• Apply factors related such as data classification, criticality level, approved standards, etc. to enable speed and quality assurance of EA Governance processes.
• Enable integration with DevOps to maximize throughput related to design, coding, infrastructure and deployment.
Some key desired skills:
• Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analytics.
• Development, design, or implementation experience in IT, with a deep knowledge in at least one of the following (or similar) technical disciplines: application development, application programming interfaces (APIs), middleware, integration, process orchestration, cloud technologies.
• Exposure to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies, and processing environments.
• Enterprise systems thinking & broad understanding of managing to a capability model.
• Strategic thinking and planning - Proactive and anticipatory in their thinking.
• Understanding of product management, agile principles and development methodologies and capability to support agile teams.
• Experience working in financial services organizations, preferably in a vendor hosted application ecosystem.
• Personal skills: Communication, Relationship Building, Collaboration, influencing
Certifications in Cloud, SAFe, BIAN, TOGAF, or other architecture frameworks is desirable but not required.

Job Description
- Manages the research, strategic development, and implementation of an enterprise-wide architecture for data, applications, businesses and technologies.
- Develops and assesses the strategies of enterprise architecture and roadmaps development.
- Leads IT research and development groups that design business application architecture, data and technologies, for multiple departments and platforms.
- Makes recommendations, gains approval, and develops implementation strategies for new technologies.
- Evaluates and recommends product selection to ensure that organizational goals for security, reliability, and performance are achieved.

Work ExperienceRoles at this level typically require a university / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry-relevant experience is typically 8+ years. At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required. Proven leadership experience with a moderate to large scope of responsibility is required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
