Enterprise Architect, Partnerships & New Business Opportunities

Are you passionate about shaping architecture where business growth, partner ecosystems, and technology meet? If so, this could be an exciting opportunity to join If’s Enterprise Architecture unit and help develop how we support Partnerships & New Business Opportunities across the Nordics.

Partnerships and partner channels are expected to be key growth areas for If. We are therefore looking for an Enterprise Architect who can bring an end-to-end IT and architecture perspective into early deal shaping, partner offering design, and the development of scalable partner channel architecture.

As Enterprise Architect, Partnerships & New Business Opportunities, you support partner sales, bid, and deal-shaping activities with an overall IT perspective. You help ensure that partner offerings are feasible, scalable, and aligned across product & price, core systems, digital channels, APIs, data, and architecture.

This is a new and entrepreneurial role where you will work close to business growth and partner strategy, while also helping If build reusable architecture patterns, APIs, guiding principles, and common ways of working for partner solutions. You will be an early architecture sparring partner for business stakeholders and help create clarity before decisions are locked.

About the team

You will join If’s Enterprise Architecture unit, a team of six persons, setting common direction and supporting sustainable, secure, and reusable architecture across If.

The role is anchored in Enterprise Architecture and has a dotted-line connection to Partnerships & New Business Opportunities, where you will be part of the leadership team. You will work closely with Product & Price, Core Systems, Digital Channels, APIs, Data, and relevant management forums to bridge partner business development and IT architecture.

You are comfortable getting involved early and contributing to shaping direction before key decisions are made. Explaining trade-offs clearly comes naturally, and you collaborate effectively with both business and IT stakeholders. You thrive in environments where ways of working are still evolving, and where you help build structure while maintaining momentum. With a strong commercial mindset, you balance architectural quality with speed, growth, and delivery.

We believe that you

• Have senior experience in shaping digital partner or channel solutions on top of core systems and shared capabilities.

• BSc or MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.

• Have strong end-to-end architecture understanding across product, price, core systems, APIs, digital channels, and data.

• Have experience from business development, pre-sales, bid support, or deal shaping where architecture choices affect commercial outcomes.

• Understand APIs, integrations, reusable architecture patterns, and partner-facing digital capabilities.

• Are fluent in English and it is meritorious if you are fluent in a Nordic language.

It is also an advantage if you bring experience from one or more of the following areas:

• Relevant industries such as insurance, banking, telecom, software, or consulting.

• Partner ecosystems, external APIs, platform architecture, or channel architecture.

• Roles such as deal or bid solution architect, pre-sales architect, or solution engineer.
