- Lead the enterprise architecture and roadmap for finance platforms—Oracle NetSuite (ERP), BlackLine (financial close), Coupa (S2P), Zone (tax/VAT), Sovos & Pagero (e‑invoicing/compliance)—ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant solutions aligned to business strategy. Acts as design authority, setting architectural standards, governing platform decisions, and directing delivery teams and partners to achieve predictable business outcomes across multiple regions.
- Enterprise-wide remit across Finance, Procurement, Tax, and Compliance; influence on multi-million £ spend and critical processes (record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash).
- Governs cross-application architecture and integration patterns impacting period close timeliness, working capital, audit outcomes, and statutory compliance.
- Global footprint covering multi-entity, multi-currency operations and country-specific e‑invoicing mandates.
- This role will report to the Head of the NetSuite Development team, will be based in Bangalore and will support the global Finance team.
- Solves complex platform and process conflicts (e.g., tax determination across markets, P2P-ERP synchronisation, close acceleration) with structured design trade-offs and business case justification.
- Introduces standardised integration patterns, reference architectures, and reusable components to shorten delivery time and reduce risk.
- Anticipates regulatory changes (e.g., new e‑invoicing schemas) and proactively adjusts roadmap and platform design.
- Operates with high autonomy as the finance platforms design authority, approving or rejecting solution designs and vendor proposals against reference architecture.
- Makes recommendations on platform selection, module enablement, and phased rollout grounded in TCO/ROI, risk, and compliance.
- Communicates complex technical topics in business terms to CFO/Finance Leadership, IT leadership, and audit/compliance stakeholders.
- Builds consensus and influences without direct line authority across product owners, solution teams, and vendors.
- Approve solution designs; run architecture gate reviews; enforce NFRs and security controls.
- Define and oversee master data governance (chart of accounts, suppliers, tax, customers, items, subsidiaries).
- Direct incident/problem management for severe/close-critical issues; lead root cause analysis and preventive design improvements.
Required Experience: 5–8+ years across ERP/Finance platforms with significant architecture ownership.
- Deep architecture expertise in NetSuite (multi-subsidiary, OneWorld, SuiteTax, SuiteAnalytics, SuiteFlows/SuiteScript), BlackLine (account recs, match, journals), Coupa (P2P, Sourcing, Expenses, Supplier Portal), and Zone/Sovos/Pagero for tax/e‑invoicing.
- Strong command of financial controls (SOX), SOD frameworks, master data governance, auditability, and regulatory compliance (VAT/e‑invoicing across EU/LatAm as applicable).
- Integration architecture using iPaaS (e.g., Celigo/Boomi/MuleSoft), event-driven and batch patterns, API governance, and error-handling frameworks.
- Involvement in at least two multi-entity NetSuite implementations or major transformations, plus hands-on exposure to BlackLine and Coupa.
- Demonstrated global compliance/e‑invoicing experience using Sovos/Pagero or equivalent.
- NetSuite ERP Consultant/SuiteFoundation; Coupa and BlackLine certifications desirable.
- Strong analytical judgement, cross‑functional communication, stakeholder management, and the ability to lead teams to innovative solutions. Capable of presenting at SLT level and influencing adoption of new approaches.
- Leadership skills pertaining to co-ordinating blended delivery capacity across internal NS team and external partner resources.
