Join the Mizuho team as an Enterprise Application Architect!
In this role you will establish an end-to-end vision of the overall application design and provide technology leadership to the application architecture in terms of focus, technical direction, and breadth of coverage of relevant technologies.
Responsibilities
Strategize -
- Develop application architecture strategy in alignment with the Business goals
- Manages an application architecture governance process: develops, communicates and ensures adherence to architecture processes, principles, policies and standards for the enterprise
- Review business drivers and strategies, understands the implications to the application architecture, and identifies/mitigates risks to solutions
- Champion and communicate the application architecture to the business leaders and contracting teams; associating the implication of the architecture to objectives/drivers/goals
- Accountable for the implementation of application architecture roadmap
Innovate -
- Collect research on the competition in terms of best practices, business processes and procedures
- Identify emerging technologies that can enable the overall business architecture
- Contribute to the development of proof of concepts or prototypes
- Partners with associates to build a comprehensive reference architecture, examine existing frameworks and prepare for the future
Architect
- Define development guidelines and standards to be utilized in application development and integration
- Analyze the current IT ecosystem application architecture to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvements
- Define transition steps and strategy from the current to the future application architecture
- Define the conceptual and detailed architecture for the development of applications and oversee the evolution of that architecture as the platform is deployed across the entire organization
- Develop methods to integrate systems that interact and extend across organizational and functional lines
- Develop and maintain IT ecosystem application architecture models, processes and documentation
Deliver -
- Identifies system requirements for large, complex ecosystem-wide applications
- Reviews requirements across multiple applications and develops application models that span applications and domains
- Oversee or lead the evaluation and selection process for application packages
Skills
- Knowledge and experience in Application modeling
- Understanding of IT Strategy, development lifecycle and alternative delivery methods
- Demonstrates thorough understanding of the key technologies which form the infrastructure necessary to effectively support existing and future business requirements
- Effective leadership skills including negotiation, persuasion, salesmanship, teaching, managing, conflict resolution, bridge building and being politically astute
- Analytical skills like technical translator, abstraction, pattern recognition, logical and holistic thinking
- Solution modeling & system integration and SOA experience
- Breadth of knowledge across all aspects of infrastructure design, delivery, operations and evolution

The expected base salary ranges from $190k-$300k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
