The Role

Job Description
Ivans, a division of Applied Systems, is searching for a Sales Consultant. The Sales Consultant is an experienced sales lead, who is comfortable creating and maintaining productive relationships with senior executives and decision-makers across both business and technology functions. This role is supported by experienced teams in Solution Consulting and is responsible for the creation and execution of sales strategies that are tailored to each account or prospect. The role is measured on new business sales, which can be new logo accounts or within existing customers. The Sales Consultant is expected to personally lead strategy development and sales execution in all their assigned accounts. It is an all-encompassing role that includes presenting to customers, negotiating contracts, attending trade events, leading internal teams, creating proposal documents and tender responses, as examples across a full range of selling activities. It is expected that the successful candidate will possess a thorough understanding of enterprise software sales cycles, can demonstrate a methodical approach to progressing opportunities through a sales plan that they have devised for each account and can accurately manage a forecast in Salesforce.
What You'll Do

  • Delivering all stages of the Platform Enterprise Business Development cycle.
  • Building new prospect leads and guiding them through the sales cycle.
  • Forecasting and delivering revenue targets.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships.
  • Developing and maintaining a strong knowledge of our Enterprise Solutions.
  • Strategic and consultative business development - listening to our customers' motivations, needs and pain points.
  • Driving and facilitating initial scoping, proposition discovery and solutioning sessions with customers and prospects.
  • Working with our Solutions and Product teams to define creative solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Developing quotes, proposals and contracts for prospective customers.
  • Negotiating contract renewals, restructuring commercial deals and selling new transformative solutions.


What You'll Need to Succeed

  • 5+ years of Platform and Enterprise sales experience.
  • Experience in selling into the insurance industry preferred.
  • Excellent ability to structure complex deals with multiple components (Implementation, consumption tiers, term, languages, modules, etc.).
  • A highly consultative approach to sales, understanding of our value proposition and can adapt it to the needs of a prospect.
  • Comfort dealing with technology and using workplace tools.
  • Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred but not required.
