United Way Miami, Inc. is hiring a Enrollment Manager, Zero Drownings to join our team. As a Enrollment Manager, Zero Drownings is responsible for driving participation and enrollment outcomes for Zero Drownings Miami-Dade by removing barriers for families and coordinating enrollment support across district-approved schools and approved non-district pathways.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Enrollment Oversight

  • Own enrollment outcomes across all approved participation pathways
  • Design and deploy specific enrollment strategies, toolkits, and other support materials for child care centers, schools, and summer programs (in partnership with Zero Drownings Miami-Dade Communications/Community Engagement workgroup)
  • Coordinate in-person and digital registration support for families/caregivers
  • Identify and resolve enrollment barriers (language, technology access, logistics)
  • Track enrollment progress and conversion trends; report results

School, Child Care & Partner Engagement

  • Coordinate closely with District, child care center, school, and program representatives and family engagement/parent representatives.
  • Work directly with individual schools and child care centers to support family enrollment, including coordinating in-person registration assistance where staff capacity is limited
  • Support engagement with private school systems participating in approved Zero Drownings pathways, in coordination with initiative leadership and consultants
  • Recruit volunteers and engage community-based organizations to partner with the initiative to increase awareness and volunteer participation
  • Oversee volunteer training in partnership with the American Red Cross
  • Additional Community Impact duties as assigned, when appropriate.

Requirements

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Experience Requirements: Experience leading enrollment, outreach, volunteer engagement or participation efforts in education, public health, or large-scale community initiatives.

Technology Requirements: Advanced Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Andar, intermediate Excel, and knowledge of modern web browsers.

Other Essential Knowledge/Skills: Strong understanding of school environments and family engagement dynamics. Demonstrated ability to navigate bureaucratic and politically sensitive systems. Data-literate, highly organized, and execution-oriented, with strong interpersonal skills with educators, parents, and partners.

Contacts: Internal. Communicate with all levels of the organization to exchange information, collect information, and coordinate projects.

External. Communicate with volunteers, key volunteers, donors/ contributors, general public, vendors, public/government agencies, United Way agencies, and the media to exchange information, collect information, and coordinate projects.
