Section 1: Position Summary
Review client work to ensure high quality of client deliverables including research of pension
law and regulations
Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer technical questions posed by staff
- Research the Internal Revenue Code and other technical resources to resolve client issues
- Provide technical training for staff
Review client projects and ensure accurate client deliverables including:
- Actuarial valuations and reports
- Benefit statements
- Plan documents, amendments, employee communications (SPDs, etc.)
- Work performed by other teams as necessary (e.g., Benefit calculations, Form 5500s and
- PBGC premium forms)
- IRS (Form 5310) and PBGC (Form 500 series) termination submissions
- ASC 715/960
- Provide back up to other teams as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Proficient in:
- Actuarial valuations and reports
- ASC 715/960
- Contribution projections
- Plan studies
- Interpreting plan documents
- Government forms and benefit calculations
- Training technical staff
Supervision

Section 3: Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements
- Must be able to sit for long periods (at least 8 hours per day).
- Must be able to work on a computer at least 8 hours per day (includes looking at a monitor, and typing using a keyboard and mouse).
Education and Training Requirements:
- Enrolled Actuary
- SOA exams leading to designations
- B.A./B.S. degree preferred
Advanced understanding of:
- Pension law
- Plan documents and IRS favorable determination letters
- Actuarial valuations and software systems
Skills and Requirements:
- Excellent technical/analytical skills

- Ability to explain/teach technical issues to all levels of employees
