JOB SUMMARY
Design, Prototype, and Assemble Humanoid Robots and associated technologies / auxiliary equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES or KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- CAD/Design and manufacture basic jigs/fixtures for testing
- Utilize manual mill/lathe, CNC machines, and 3D Printers
- Harness schematic creation
- Harness assembly
- PCBA soldering and component modification
- Assemble electromechanical subsystems without full documentation
- Collaborate with R&D Engineers and Test/Validation Engineers to identify and solve complex problems
- Assist with Test designs and Test implementation
- Document issues and/or assembly processes to be utilized by production technicians as needed
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Proven hands-on skills and electromechanical aptitude
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Electrical and/or Mechanical Technician certifications are a plus
- Proficient in using hand tools and torque devices
- Initiative and self-motivation - ability to work with little supervision
- Collaborative nature with the ability to work in a team environment
- Basic computer skills
- Good written communication
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Associate’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or similar field
- At least 2 years of experience in electrical and/or mechanical assembly or related field
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times
- Vision to read printed materials and a computer screen
- Hearing and speech to communicate
