Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience with electrical equipment installation, testing, commissioning, and startup activities.
  • Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems and electrical construction practices.
  • Experience performing field walkdowns and generating punch list items.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Engineering Team in conducting active electrical pre-energization walkdowns.
  • Verify installation completeness and readiness of electrical systems and equipment prior to energization.
  • Review equipment installation against approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Participate in field inspections of electrical equipment and associated circuits, including but not limited to:
    • Switchgear
    • Transformers
    • Panelboards
    • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
    • Motors
    • Power distribution systems
    • Lighting and control systems
  • Identify deficiencies, installation issues, and quality concerns.
  • Create, document, track, and follow up on punch list items and field observations.
  • Coordinate with construction, commissioning, quality, and engineering teams to resolve identified issues.
  • Support electrical turnover and readiness activities leading to equipment energization.
  • Provide written status updates and reports as required.
