Job Requirements
Requirements are often considered a measure of how equipped you are to do the job, but sometimes, they aren't the only factor. If you don't have nearly enough experience, or not all the skills, we'd still like to hear from you. This could be the perfect fit for you and us.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering with strong backend background.
  • 3+ years of experience as a team leader, preferably in dynamic, fast-paced companies.
  • Excellent knowledge of software design and scalable web architecture.
  • Experience developing SaaS products hosted in a cloud platform like AWS or equivalent.
  • People person with strong leadership skills who can build a winning team.
  • Independent, resourceful, and proactive team player with a desire to impact our team, our product, and our customers.
  • Great communication skills in English.

The following are a big plus
  • Experience working in a mid to large scale organization
  • Experience in building SaaS products, extra points if HR or LMS related
  • Experience developing a product from scratch, using iterative processes
  • Experience with Kotlin, Scala, Angular, ...
  • Having both backend and frontend development experience.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, database design, and query optimisation

In this role, you'll lead the team responsible for architecting and enhancing HiBob's Learning Module, a core part of the Learning & Development Group. Your team will build scalable systems that enable organizations to create, manage, and measure employee learning experiences. You'll develop intuitive interfaces, robust backend services, and powerful analytics that support content delivery, progress tracking, and integrations with external providers. Working closely with Product, Design and Platform teams, you'll ensure a seamless, data-driven learning experience that empowers companies to foster continuous growth through technology. Your work will directly contribute to HiBob's mission of empowering companies to build a culture of continuous learning through modern, scalable technology.
