Job DescriptionIngram Marine Group is hiring an Engineering Support Coordinator in the Paducah, KY area. This role will provide clerical assistance to Port Engineers and Managerial staff of the Vessel Engineering Department.
What you will be doing:
- Assisting Port Engineers and Managerial Staff with day to day activities. (i.e. filing, scheduling meetings/food, making travel arrangements)
- Maintaining the Helm program and keep data up to date and record downtime for vessels.
- Managing Port Engineer chief engineer evaluations, dry dock files.
- Scanning documents for departmental use.
- Assisting with the purchase order process – creating, updating, receiving, and researching problems.
- Organizing Engineering Meetings – arranging for catering and technical support.
- Supporting department activities with regular and prompt attendance
- Tracking and maintaining fuel reporting on month end for the vessels.
- Maintaining and updating the Towboat Status Repair Report.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Effective communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- General knowledge of business management
- Ability to learn and adapt to change easily
- Pay attention to detail
- Ability to learn general vessel knowledge as it relates to engineering reports.
Degree Required: High School or GED
Years of Experience Required: 0 - 1 Years
Office Setting: Must be able to stand/sit her extended periods of time. Some heavy lifting may be necessary.
