Summary:
The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance operations of the hotel to ensure property standards, safety, and guest satisfaction are consistently achieved. This role coordinates preventative maintenance programs, contractors and ensures timely completion of repairs and work orders. This is a hands-on position that requires repairs made in various trade specialties.
Essential Job Functions: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Supervise, coordinate, and assign daily maintenance tasks, Hot Sos tasks,to ensure efficient operation andtimelycompletion of work orders.
- Execute preventative maintenance programs tomaintainhotel systems, equipment, and overall propertycondition.
- Monitor and ensure completion of maintenance requests, including repairs such aslighting, ceiling tiles, flooring, and guestroom fixtures.
- Oversee inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, HVAC units, plumbing systems, appliances, and mechanical equipment.
- Coordinate andassistwith major repairs and vendor services involving boilers, kitchen/laundry equipment, pool systems, and building infrastructure.
- Ensure proper maintenance and operation of pool equipment, including heaters and filtration systems.
- Maintain exterior property appearance and curb appeal, including landscaping, painting, snow removal, and general upkeep.
- Supervise refurbishment of guest rooms, including furniture, fixtures, cabinetry, and finishes.
- Ensure all maintenance activitiescomply withsafety regulations, building codes, and company standards.
- Respond toescalatedguest concerns, resolving issues promptly tomaintainhigh guest satisfaction.
- Maintainaccuraterecords of maintenance activities, inspections, inventory, and work orders.
- Assistinscheduling,Coordination, and Managing of trades.
- Ensure team adherence to schedules, attendance policies, and operational coverage, including weekends and holidays.
- Perform hands-on maintenance work as needed to support the team.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (both verbal and written).
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise, train, and motivate a team.
- Strong working knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to professionally handle guest interactions and escalations.
