Job Duties: Vice President, Core Engineering with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in New York, New York. Facilitate the planning, execution, and evaluation of complex projects within Core Engineering, including project plan management, strategy and communication coordination. Responsible for maintaining the financial and human capital management reporting aspects of Core Engineering, including zero-based budgeting, cost allocations, and monthly headcount reporting. These activities support informed decision-making and track organizational performance. Collaborate on and support the execution of daily operational activities, implementing best practices and technologies to enhance organization performance. Collaborate with Engineering leadership to ensure seamless coordination and execution of priorities. Drive change management initiatives to support organizational transformation and the adoption of new technologies & strategies. Act as the primary point of contact for Core Engineering, managing communication, and conducting in-depth research. Organize and support Core Engineering leadership meetings, townhalls, and other key events. Prepare high-quality presentations and briefing materials and participate in discussions with vendors and technology partners.
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Technology Management, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include five (5) years with the following: experience in technology and financial sectors within global, matrixed organizations, and driving cross-functional collaboration; experience with team and project management, communication, internal and external engineering advocacy, and organizational development within an engineering context; Managing global technical projects, spanning financial management, human capital, and system implementations; experience with technology management and key technology vendors; executing strategic and operational plans, aligning technology initiatives with business goals and efficiency improvements; experience with financial and operational tools, including FP&A, ERP, CRM, and data visualization (such as Anaplan, SAP S/4 Hana, SAP Business Objects, SAP Concur, Salesforce, or Qlik Sense); leveraging data to drive strategic insights, identify risks, and inform decision-making; executive communication and distilling complex topics into clear, actionable insights for technical and business audiences; objectives and Key Results (OKR) management, ensuring organizational alignment, accountability, and execution through structured goal setting; and establishing cross-team alignment and working closely with senior-level sponsors and stakeholders building consensus around strategic project plans, activities, and measures. Prior experience must include four (4) years with the following: product development, engineering processes, and global financial regulations, bridging technical execution with business strategy. Prior experience must include three (3) years with the following: leading strategic planning and alignment efforts, including QBRs, annual planning, and leadership meetings.
Salary Range: Annual base salary for this New York, New York-based position is $151,000 - $272,000.
