Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Engineering Projects Manager is responsible for projects that are led by staff and Sr project engineering professionals, providing strategic direction, fostering development, and ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. The Project Engineering team is responsible for the technical scope of the project from intake , scoping , feasibility to execution, commissioning of installations and equipment working as part of a multidisciplinary cross functional project team.
The Engineering Project Manager plays a key role in the PEX Department for:
Applies project management skills, tools, and techniques to manage the project and program scope, quality, schedule, budget, resources, and risk. Serves as primary contact for client and team queries and concerns.
Providing strategic direction, fostering portfolio / program development, and ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Ensuring that the resources meet the business requirements.
Leading and supporting project delivery process by establishing, maintaining, and overseeing best practices in Capital Project Management.
Ensuring readiness of assets to be delivered on safety, quality, time and cost through Project Reviews.
Providing leadership and direction to drive qualitative and balanced continuous improvement in the areas of safety, quality, and project delivery.
Being process owner for Project Management within Engineering (stage gate process).
Training, coaching and guiding colleagues for project management / project engineering activities.
Acting as project engineering process expert during internal and external audits and inspections.
Maintaining strong governance structure with our internal clients / Business units / Sponsors.
Responsible for deliver projects End to End form intake to handover
Responsible for CAPEX CAR approvals.
Defines project engineering project estimates for ongoing design, equipment needs, installation, labor, materials, and other related costs
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial) required.
Minimum 8 years of proven experience in the (bio)pharmaceutical industry or related academic experience or education is required.
Prior experience in large complex brownfield project management and people leader roles are required.
Familiar with regulations (ICH, EMA, CFR) and industry standard (ISPE, PDA)
Accurate, structured, flexible and customer focused;
Proven ability to coach professionals and to embrace diversity, equity, & inclusion.
Good communication skills in English (both oral and written).
