We are committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace - a place where we can each be ourselves and do the best work of our lives. At Tracksuit we consider a unique perspective, diverse experience and a growth mindset to be of greater value than ticking every box on a JD. If you think you have what it takes but don’t have the exact experience we’ve set out, please still get in touch and apply. We’d love to chat!

At Tracksuit we provide beautiful, radically affordable, always-on brand tracking which is easy to use compared to traditional methods. We recognise that sounds like a ton of buzzwords for marketers, so what it really means is that we did over tens of thousands of surveys last month to find out what real humans think and feel about the world’s best brands and their competitors. Are you our next Engineering Manager?

We’re looking for two Engineering Managers to join our Embedding Brand team and our Brand Ecosystems team at Tracksuit in Auckland.

You’ll be responsible leading our engineering efforts, which includes working with product and design, leading engineers and rituals and ways of working.

Embedding Brand

This team is solving one of the biggest challenges in brand tracking: helping customers actually use their data. Today, most customers log in, glance at their metrics, and leave without knowing what's changed or what to do about it.

Embedding Brand is changing that through conversational AI and intelligent product experiences that guide customers from raw data to strategic insight.

You'd be leading a team through an early, high-signal phase: a pilot is live with real customers, and the next step is scaling it. It's a mix of AI product development, deep customer understanding, and figuring out what "good" looks like in a space where nobody's cracked it yet.

Brand Data Ecosystems

This team exists to make Tracksuit data work beyond the dashboard. Customers want brand health metrics flowing into their BI tools, data warehouses, and marketing mix models alongside everything else they measure.

The team is building a new API from the ground up, co-designing it directly with customers and partners.

You'd be leading through an early co-build phase with real enterprise and mid-market customers, shaping both the technical foundations and the go-to-market motion.

If you like the intersection of platform engineering, external-facing product, and working closely with customers, this is that role.

We're looking for an Engineering Manager that is:

  • Experienced technical leader: Someone who is an engineer, with experience across a range of technologies. These might include: React, NodeJS, Typescript, Java, Python, Postgres, CDK, and AWS (or another cloud provider) across different projects. You’ll have experience in designing, building, deploying and operating complex applications.
  • Entrepreneurial and product-focused: Someone who can think holistically and commercially: who takes an interest in the wider business. You’ll be able to collaborate with product managers, designers, and customers, as well as have the ability to focus on business outcomes and engage in discovery, not just implementation.
  • Experimental: Someone comfortable testing and iterating on ideas using a structured approach. You’ll have demonstrated experience assessing multiple solutions for a problem with various implementation approaches, and you’ll be data driven to guide your recommendations.
  • Curious and a leader: You’ll be curious to discover new opportunities, grasp new technologies, and figure out whatever you need to drive growth. You’ll be a leader for other engineers in the team and be able to support and drive a team technically and commercially; You’ll have experience in coaching developing, and managing engineers, as well as having demonstrated ability to prioritise work.
  • Kind: This is such a collaborative role that we ultimately want a great, collaborative and supportive team player.

We think this role is exciting because:

  • You’ll have ownership over decisions to design the technical solutions that work: You’ll be responsible for architecting and designing scalable, reliable, and secure systems.
  • You’ll be able to think entrepreneurially, focused on business outcomes: You’re not just shipping features. You’re working in team to drive acquisition and activation. That means you get to create a strategy, think holistically, and do whatever is needed to drive an outcome.
  • You get to be experimental: designing experiments, trying new approaches to solve problems, talking to customers, doing discovery, sitting alongside product and design, and implementing solutions.
  • We don’t have a roadmap dictated to us: you’ll have high-level business goals and outcomes, but it’s up to you to define the problems and solutions.

Why join us at Tracksuit?

We're one of Australasia's fastest growing startups, and at just a few years old, we're incredibly grateful and excited to already be working with 1,000+ epic brands across NZ, AU, USA, Canada, and the UK.

We're a tight-knit, supportive, and ambitious team, driven to empower companies to use brand to drive success. Our culture thrives on transparency, trust, learning, and constant development.

Underpinning the experience are our great benefits, including:

⦿ Compensation: Competitive market rate remuneration, reviewed regularly with a strong focus on fairness and transparency. ⦿ Employee Share Option Program (ESOP): So that everyone on the team shares in Tracksuit's success. ⦿ Health & wellbeing: Annual wellness bonus, access to EAP, and generous annual leave. ⦿ Parental benefits: Paid parental leave and support for a smooth return to work. ⦿ Learning & development: Annual L&D budget plus opportunities for growth, mentorship, and exposure. ⦿ Flexible working: Office-first culture with flexibility to support balance and performance.

Most importantly, when you join, you'll receive an epic Tracksuit which reflects our vibe. We are built for speed and comfort, we're fun and informal, and we're practical and ready for anything.

🐾 FYI — We're pet-friendly in principle and practice, with the occasional four-legged visitor adding to the charm, not the chaos.

What We Do

Tracksuit is the modern brand tracking platform trusted by over 1,000 consumer brands worldwide to measure and prove the impact of brand-building. Founded in 2021, we're one of New Zealand's fastest-growing startups, and we've since grown into a team of 190+ people across New York, Auckland, Sydney, and London. Built on rigorous data, Tracksuit gives brands a clear, ongoing picture of their health, tracking how they're perceived today and how that's shifting as the ways people discover and evaluate brands evolve. With best-in-class methodology, Tracksuit is designed to be easy to use and easy to understand for everyone from CMOs and CFOs to agencies, brand marketers, insights professionals, and founders.

Why Work With Us

We take the work seriously and ourselves a lot less so. We cheer each other on loudly, show up with a smile, and leave things better than we found them. And there's plenty to cheer about: a $25M Series B in 2025, expansion into 25 markets and our acquisition of AI-visibility startup Hall, to help marketers see their brand across humans and AI.
