We are seeking a detail-oriented Engineering Manager with a strong focus on data and AI to manage and drive complex projects that deliver transformative solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of data and AI, stakeholder and project management methodologies. You will be responsible for driving technical excellence, coordinating cross-functional efforts, ensuring the successful delivery of AI-driven projects, and collaborating with stakeholders to align business objectives with technical solutions.
What You'll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, promoting professional growth and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Guide the team to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Ensure best practices in software development, testing, and deployment are followed.
- Facilitate effective communication within the team and with other departments.
- Manage team performance, providing regular feedback and conducting performance reviews.
- Drive process improvements to enhance team productivity and efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to keep our products innovative.
- Collaborate with customer executive leaders to define and implement the overall strategy, manage day-to-day team relationships, and drive significant business impact.
- Establish an effective feedback loop between the customer team and internal product, machine learning, engineering, and go-to-market teams.
- Engage with top-tier machine learning, product, engineering, and business teams across industries to help them develop and refine data and AI applications that deliver tangible business value.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
- 5+ years hard core software development (you know it if you have it)
- Experience with: Kubernetes, distributed computing, infrastructure as code
- True full-stack experience including frontend is a strong plus
- Bias for action and ownership mentality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Proven experience managing software engineering teams in a startup or fast-paced environment
- Comfort with ambiguity and operating in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working cross-functionally with product management
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
- Passion for technology and a strong desire to create impactful solutions.
