We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Manager to lead our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for innovation. As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for guiding the team to deliver high-quality products, ensuring alignment with company goals, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. 

What You Will Do As A Engineering Manager

  • Team Leadership: 
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. 
    • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and career development sessions with team members. 
    • Promote a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages innovation and growth. 
  • Project Management: 
    • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. 
    • Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and scope. 
    • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. 
  • Technical Guidance: 
    • Provide technical leadership and direction to the engineering team. 
    • Participate in architectural discussions and guide the team in making informed technical decisions. 
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and incorporate them into the team’s processes. 
  • Process Improvement: 
    • Develop and refine engineering processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and collaboration. 
    • Implement and monitor KPIs to assess the team’s performance and drive continuous improvement. 
    • Advocate for and implement Agile methodologies where appropriate. 
  • Resource Management: 
  • Manage resource allocation to ensure optimal team productivity and project success. 
  • Identify staffing needs and participate in the recruitment and hiring process. 
  • Oversee the onboarding and training of new team members. 
  • Stakeholder Communication: 
    • Act as a primary point of contact between the engineering team and other departments. 
    • Provide regular updates on project status, challenges, and achievements to senior management and other stakeholders. 
    • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes. 

What You Will Bring As A Engineering Manager 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role. 
  • Proven experience managing and mentoring engineering teams. 
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and project management tools. 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to balance technical expertise with business acumen. 
  • Experience with PHP is a plus. 
  • Proven experience working with US based business teams 
  • Excellent written and communication skills in English language 
  • Ability to work within core US business hours / time zone expectations - Eastern Standard Time (EST) overlap
