Job Title: Engineering Manager

Reports to: Director of Engineering

Location: Bangalore - 5 days (Onsite)

Key Relationships: Product and Engineering teams

Job Purpose: 

You will lead and grow a team of engineers to design, develop, and deliver a new platform from the ground up using Java and modern Spring Boot–based microservices architecture. You will work closely with Partners, Product Managers, Technical Leads, and Engineers to deliver high-quality solutions that create value for both internal and external customers. This role demands curiosity, self-sufficiency, attention to detail, and a strong drive to build exceptional software from inception to production.

What you’ll do:

• Lead hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and career development
  
• Conduct regular 1:1s, offer mentoring, and support professional growth
  
• Navigate performance challenges through coaching and structured support
  

• Allocate engineers across product areas based on strengths and goals
  
• Partner with Tech Leads and Delivery Managers to monitor team health and delivery
  
• Encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement
  
• Maintain high-level awareness of product development and team capacity
  

• Build an inclusive, empowering team culture rooted in trust and transparency
  
• Advocate for your engineers, balancing team needs with business goals
  
• Foster a feedback-rich environment with open lines of communication

Who you are:

✅ Engineering Management Experience (12-15 Years)

Proven track record of leading and scaling engineering teams with a focus on people, performance, and culture.

Experience driving technical direction, mentoring engineers, and influencing architecture in fast-paced environments.

Strong software engineering fundamentals and real-world experience—you can guide your team with credibility and insight.

Exposure to Spring boot, React, or Angular is a plus, helping you connect with our current stack and technical direction.

Able to articulate complex ideas clearly, give actionable feedback, and keep everyone aligned—technical or not.

Empathetic, encouraging, and thoughtful. You value the growth and wellbeing of your team just as much as the output.

Fluent in English (written & spoken), essential for working across our global team.
