Engineering Manager

We are looking for an exceptional talent to join our industry-leading technology team, co-founded by the former CTO of salesforce.com. Our technology stack includes Java server technologies, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and patent-pending analytical methods on top of MongoDB and AWS.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization to build the user experiences and back-end engine that power the workflow, enabling hoteliers to make optimal pricing decisions and publish them globally. More than 3000 hotels use Duetto to price their rooms, amounting to over a million pricing decisions per day.

What you’ll do:

• Own the execution and delivery of the product roadmap and backlog for two engineering teams.
• Ensure high-quality deliverables for our customers, partners, and colleagues.
• Coach and mentor teams and individuals for high-level performance and growth.
• Consistently demonstrate excellent leadership behaviors.
• Serve as the team scrum master, championing agile best practices—grooming, planning, retrospectives, and servant leadership.
• Collaborate with product owners and cross-functional teams on planning, design, implementation, and ultimately customer success.
• Continuously evolve engineering practices, systems, and processes towards efficiency and scale.
• Work collaboratively with globally distributed teams.
• This is a fully remote position. With opportunities to collaborate in person.

Desired Skills & Expertise:

• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience building enterprise-grade SaaS applications, including 2+ years managing teams of at least five full-stack engineers.
• Strong foundation in building modern scalable web applications with expertise in both frontend and backend technologies.
• Proven track record of delivering complex software products on time with high quality using agile methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with US-based product companies and globally distributed teams using agile and scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with data-driven and data-focused applications, data scalability techniques; ideally, knowledge of SQL as well as modern NoSQL techniques.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, CSS, and API-driven/MVC user interface frameworks.
• Passion for analytical applications, forecasting, data visualization, and machine learning.
• Curiosity about business problems and using modern infrastructure to solve real-world challenges.
