As an Engineering Manager you'll be joining the Strategist Team that is actively defining what AI-powered marketing looks like in practice turning complex data into clear, actionable insights and delivering real value to customers every day.
What you’ll do @ Omnisend:
- Play a key role in the Strategist AI team, influencing product development decisions.
Build a product that helps customers make smarter decisions through data-driven recommendations and insights.
Use your technical expertise to solve complex problems.
Leverage AI to streamline your daily operations and build AI solutions that drive real value for our customers.
We expect that you’ll bring:
Experience leading or mentoring engineers, with a track record of driving technical initiatives and improving engineering practices.
Strong planning, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to make pragmatic decisions focused on delivering value rather than over engineering ideal solutions.
Customer and outcome oriented mindset, with the ability to translate complex data into impactful product capabilities.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative environment with continuous experimentation and delivery.
Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
5+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining scalable, highly available, high-load systems.
Strong proficiency in Golang, or solid experience in another backend language (e.g., Python or Node.js) with a willingness to adopt Golang as a primary language.
Experience building backend services and APIs, capable of handling data intensive and high throughput workloads.
Practical experience working with machine learning systems and AI driven products, including LLM based solutions.
Experience integrating and working with multiple LLM providers (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini, Claude) or similar AI platforms.
Strong understanding of data processing and analytics, with hands-on experience in SQL and BigQuery (or similar data warehouses).
Experience designing and working with distributed systems, event driven architectures, and real-time data pipelines.
Familiarity with microservices architecture and best practices in system design.
Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred) and modern software development workflows, including CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to write clean, maintainable code with sufficient unit and integration test coverage.
Strong debugging skills and ownership of code quality, both individually and within the team.
Experience building AI driven, data intensive, or customer facing products is a strong advantage.
