At this time we seek a skilled Lead Full Stack Engineer to lead and manage our portal development team located in Bucharest, Romania. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, this role will primarily involve managing two senior/lead engineers locally and driving the development of our web applications using modern technologies. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and leadership skills to guide our dynamic team and support our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a small team of senior/lead engineers to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of high-quality web applications.
- Collaborate with the development team as well as cross-functional teams including product management, design, and operations to define technical requirements and project scope.
- Implement best practices for code quality, testing, deployment, and continuous integration using CI/CD pipelines.
- Foster a collaborative team environment with open communication channels.
- Ensure technical excellence through code reviews, establishing coding standards, and promoting a culture of innovation and learning.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our solutions remain competitive.
- Guide technical decisions involving Java, ReactJS, NodeJS, and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS).
- Leverage telecom background to enhance our product offerings and ensure alignment with industry standards.
- Utilize Generative AI (Gen-AI) to improve development workflow and efficiency.
- Minimum 2 years' experience managing or leading engineering teams.
- Extensive experience in UI architecture and design, with a proven track record of successfully migrating legacy systems.
- Proven experience in web application development using Java, ReactJS, and NodeJS.
- Practical experience with cloud technologies, including GCP and AWS, as well as expertise in API and database technologies.
- Proficiency in configuring and operating CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with project management or Agile methodologies.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Ability to leverage Gen-AI to improve development practices.
- Telecom industry experience is a significant plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and with globally distributed teams.
