FactSet is seeking a Lead Engineer to lead our newly expanded Design System team in based in São Paulo City Metropolitan Area - South Zone . This team is part of the Client Experience and Engineering department and works on shared infrastructure to provide tools for creating modern, consistent user interfaces across FactSet applications. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance developer efficiency and deliver superior solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 3 software engineers
Collaborating with other Design System managers and cross-functional teams
Oversee the software development lifecycle for seamless delivery
Provide technical guidance in TypeScript and Vue.js
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices
Stay informed about new web technologies and trends
Projects:
Developing a Design System Component Library for responsive applications
Improve accessibility for tabular data (Grids)
Modernize charting experiences
Enhance self-service support with Generative AI
Minimum Requirements:
5+ years as a Software Developer in
Work Hybrid at least 3 days per week
Critical Skills:
Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks like Vue or React
Must have Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
Passionate about enabling developers
Highly Desired:
Knowledge of WCAG and web accessibility
Expertise in HTML, CSS, JS, and WAI-ARIA
Familiarity with NodeJS, automated testing, CI/CD, cloud providers
Open-source project experience

Education:
Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
