About the Role: As an Engineering Manager at SMS Magic, you will lead a dynamic engineering team responsible for developing and maintaining our innovative Conversational Messaging Product. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet both business and customer needs. Your role will focus on solving complex technical challenges, fostering a culture of innovation, and driving engineering excellence.

Experience:

  • 6-8 years of experience in software development and leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team of 8-10 engineers.

Key Skills:

  • Expertise in Python, React JS, Spring Boot, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Strong knowledge on Salesforce.
  • Hands-on experience with back-end and front-end development.
  • Strong knowledge of architecture design, microservices, and high-level diagrams.
  • Cloud deployment and development experience with Docker, Containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Deep understanding of API integrations, application security (OAuth2.0, JWT), and scalable system design.
  • Proficiency in databases (SQL/NoSQL), algorithms, data structures, and queueing systems.
  • Experience working with QA teams, test strategies, and cloud deployment tools like Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and unit testing frameworks (Pytest/Mockit).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, perform code reviews, and maintain best practices.
  • Design scalable, reliable, and secure systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage product development and deployment processes.
  • Identify risks, foresee issues, and guide the team through technical challenges.
  • Own the product's end-to-end lifecycle from development to cloud deployment.
