Overview:

StandardAero is seeking motivated, eager, motivated Mechanical Engineering students for winter and summer term positions (4 or 8 months) to support StandardAero’s production and growth projects for the 2027 winter and/or summer term. This work may cover support in the following areas:

  • Production Engineering
  • Service Engineering
  • Quality Engineering
  • Operations
  • Facilities Engineering
  • Process Engineering
  • Repair Development

 

What You'll do:

  • Develop repairs for engine components.
  • Reprocess cost evaluation and recommendations for reduction
  • Develop repair on non-conforming parts
  • Perform technical manual reviews
  • Review tooling requirements and implement into shop
  • Write technical reports and procedures.
  • Coordinate process improvement initiatives.
  • Create electronic manual revisions.
  • Perform engine performance analysis.
  • Find alternative cleaning, plating, thermal spraying and coatings methods
  • Assist in engine and accessories troubleshooting
  • Assist in planning and implementing facility improvements, maintenance projects, and energy efficiency initiatives to support safe and efficient operations.
  • Other projects as assigned

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have completed 1st Year of Engineering studies (Bachelor's or Engineering Technology)
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Good understanding of basic mechanical engineering principles
  • Working knowledge computers and MS Office experience/knowledge.
  • Must be available to work for the full summer term, from the first week of May through the last week of August 2027 (4 months) or an 8-month term starting January 2027
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada on a permanent basis.
