JOB SUMMARY
The Engineering Development Manager is responsible to coordinate and oversee project management initiatives related to tools, AI solutions and processes aligned with Global Engineering Development (GED) goals to expand and improve multi-functional design capability, capacity and efficiency to deliver high quality Intelligent Infrastructure solutions for our customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify, understand and document usage and cost of all tools across the GED EE, ME, Thermal and FW teams
• Learn and analyze current and planned standard and new AI driven tools in cooperation with GED teams
• Engage with US Program Management AI team on goals, investigations and plans for enabling AI solutions
• Coordinate and drive cross functional GED Tools and AI Assist meetings and initiatives
• Coordinate cross site AI meetings, demos and evaluations in cooperation with US PM AI teams
• Track PV team AI tools development and facilitate cross functional engineering and PV tools leverage
• Support data gathering and metrics creation to track engineering efficiency improvements
• Longer Term: Partner with representatives of the EE, ME, Thermal and FW teams to enable engineering cross functional communication and process improvements
• Longer Term: Align with representatives of the GSD (Global Systems Development) TPM, SL, PJM/PCC and PV organizations on most efficient product development level cross functional communication and processes
• Identify opportunities for tools, process and other improvements across the engineering organization

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
·         Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
·         Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
·         Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.
·         Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
·         Ability to write simple correspondence. Read and understand visual aid.
·         Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
·         Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
·         Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
·         Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
·         Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
