Engineering Delivery Manager
As the Engineering Delivery Manager (EDM), you are the technical manager of the project, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery of complex engineering systems. You will orchestrate multi-disciplinary teams, enforce best-in-class processes, and drive strategic alignment between technical execution and business objectives.

Key responsibilities:
1. Strategic Technical Leadership
- Define and own the engineering delivery strategy, ensuring alignment with project constraints and Thales’ global standards.
- Develop a clear roadmap for engineering activities, balancing innovation with practical execution.
- Champion Agile and process-driven methodologies, tailoring them to maximize efficiency and quality.
2. Execution with Discipline
- Break down project scope into actionable work packages, allocating resources, budgets, and timelines while proactively managing risks and opportunities.
- Monitor progress with data-driven KPIs, ensuring transparency and timely adjustments to stay on track.
- Guarantee technical compliance: Verify that all designs (hardware/software) meet functional requirements and specifications without compromise.
3. Stakeholder & Team Leadership
- Unify cross-functional teams (engineers, subcontractors, customers) under a shared vision, fostering accountability, trust, and collaboration.
- Serve as the primary technical interface for the project managers, and design authorities, translating complex challenges into clear action plans.
- Mentor and develop engineers, providing constructive feedback and supporting their growth within Thales’ competency frameworks.
4. Financial & Risk Management
- Oversee the financial health of technical activities, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
- Anticipate and mitigate risks (technical, schedule, cost) with proactive contingency planning.
- Create a competitive advantage by managing risk, identifying opportunities and fostering continuous improvement
We are looking forward to:
Technical & Professional Expertise
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering (Electronics/Telecommunications preferred).
Experience:
- 7+ years in technical project management or multi-disciplinary engineering leadership.
- Proven ability to deliver complex, high-stakes projects in defense, aerospace, or security sectors.
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, system/software architecture, and IVVQ (Integration, Verification, Validation, Qualification).
Language Skills: Fluent English (mandatory); French/Dutch (strong plus).
