Job Description

You’ll join the Shared Technology group building Connect, an all-in-one marketing communication platform, and other services used by Xplor products across the globe operating in the fitness and home services industries. We’re helping our clients understand their customers, expand their reach, and grow their businesses with easy to use, API-first services. 

We are looking for a Software Engineer with microservice experience who is excited to participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle from planning to delivery. You will work closely with other engineers and the product manager to help us develop the APIs, services, and infrastructure that power our core platform as well as customer-facing products.

Our technical stack includes: Node.js, PHP, Vue.js, serverless, and AWS

Responsibilities

• Deliver features that are well tested and meet acceptance criteria within sprint commitments
• Effectively communicate the status of your work and proactively seek help when you need it
• Be an active participant in sprint planning and backlog refinement
• Support the growth of other team members with code reviews and thoughtful, respectful feedback 
• Be open to receiving thoughtful, respectful feedback on your own work

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience building web applications with an emphasis on server-side technologies
• Thorough knowledge of Node.js and modern JavaScript
• Proficiency with SQL and strong data modeling skills
• Experience creating or consuming public-facing APIs and web hooks
• Bonus: experience with CI/CD pipelines and deploying applications
• Bonus: experience building SaaS platforms or customer-facing products
