Software Defined Storage Support Engineer

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- Expertise in product and infrastructure support
- Knowledge of risk and controls landscape, ensuring company-wide standards are met
- Ability to execute within a customer-centric environment
- Good positive attitude and helpful approach
- Good spoken and written English
- 3 - 5 years experience in distributed storage environments
- 3 - 5 years experience in an associated technology (Server, Networks)
- Good understanding of impact and importance of storage services to customers. Sense of urgency around critical issues
- Must have experience with EMC VMAX & HPe 3Par using Fiber Channel
- Intermediate experience with large Fiber Channel switched fabric environment from Brocade & Cisco
- Must have Expert knowledge of basic RAID, storage tiering, storage architecture concepts, storage virtualization, local and datacenter replication practices, and storage best practices
- Experience with IP Storage platforms (NetApp SolidFire / EMC PowerFlex)
- Nice to have is knowledge of Object S3 Platforms (EMC ECS / NetApp StorageGrid)
- Ability to code using python to reduce repetitive tasks

About the Team The Cybersecurity & Technology Controls group at JPMorgan Chase aligns the firm's cybersecurity, access management, controls and resiliency teams. The group proactively and strategically partners with all lines of business and functions to enable them to design, adopt and integrate appropriate controls; deliver processes and solutions efficiently and consistently; and drive automation of controls.
